In My Eyes
Written by Tim Henderson Snake Hollow Publishing BMI

All your dresses are faded, we can’t buy nothin’ new,
So you say you’ve got nothin’ to wear,
But I tell you the flowers that brighten the springtime,
They still look their best in your hair,
And if your mirror shows wrinkles and traces of age,
If it says you’re not lovely, it lies !
Cuz your mirror can’t show what I see, when I see you…
Won’t you look at yourself in my eyes,
Can’t you look at yourself in my eyes,
In my eyes, we can see through the darkness,
We won’t need the light of the sun,
It just shows us the way time has marked us,
And it can’t show the love that we’ve done,
So if the world is laughing every time we go out,
Why Hell, the world never was very wise
And the world doesn’t love you the way that I love you,
Won’t you look at yourself in my eyes,
Can’t you look at yourself in my eyes,
And  the world doesn’t love you the way that I love you,
Can’t you look at yourself in my eyes.
